4. Event Submissions and Public Information

Our event submission system allows visitors to submit Catholic event information for administrative review.

Submitting an event does not guarantee publication. Omnia Catholic reviews submissions before deciding whether to approve and display them.

If an event is approved, the following information may become publicly visible:

The selected county.

Instagram handles or other contact information included in published content.
The event's public Like count.

The email address entered into the event submission form is used for administration and is not automatically displayed as a separate public contact field.

However, any email address, phone number, name, photograph, or other personal information included in a flyer or event description may become public if that content is approved and published.

Please provide only information you are authorized to share. Avoid including private contact information, sensitive personal information, or information about minors without appropriate permission.

Public event content may be viewed, shared, indexed by search engines, or retained in third-party caches. Removing an event from our Website does not guarantee its removal from copies maintained by others.

5. Event Review, Google Sheets, and Telegram

Omnia Catholic uses third-party technology to organize and manage event submissions.

Google Sheets and Google Apps Script

Event submissions and administrative information are processed through Google services, including Google Sheets and Google Apps Script.

These systems help us maintain submission records, manage approval status, assign identifiers, organize published events, and administer the event workflow.

Administrative spreadsheets are not intended as public visitor directories.

Telegram Notifications

Omnia Catholic uses a Telegram bot and private administrative group to receive event-submission notifications and manage approvals.

Submitted event information may be transmitted through Telegram, including:

Event flyer.
County.
Description.
Submitted social media or website link.
Submitter email address.
Administrative approval and rejection information.

The administrative Telegram group is private and is not a public discussion group. Telegram processes information according to its own services and privacy practices.

An event's approval or administrative notification does not itself guarantee that the event has appeared on the public Website. Publication depends on the Website's data synchronization and publishing process.

6. Google Analytics

Omnia Catholic uses Google Analytics 4, a website measurement service provided by Google.

Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors discover and interact with our Website.

For example, it can help us evaluate:

Which county event pages receive visits.
Whether visitors arrive from search engines, social media, or other websites.
Which pages attract interest and engagement.
Whether visitors use mobile devices, tablets, or desktop computers.
How we can improve navigation and access to Catholic event information.

Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to process page addresses, website interaction information, device and browser characteristics, approximate location information, and other technical data.

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying form-submission information to Google Analytics.

Based on our current Analytics configuration:

Granular location and device-data collection is enabled.
Advertising-personalization settings permit personalization in eligible regions, although this setting does not, by itself, mean that Omnia Catholic displays advertisements or operates advertising campaigns.

7. Event Likes and Cloudflare

Omnia Catholic offers a Like feature on event listings.

Our shared Likes system uses Cloudflare Workers to retrieve and maintain event Like counts.

When the feature is used, information processed may include:

A permanent event identifier.
A randomly generated browser-based visitor identifier.
Whether the visitor has liked a particular event.
Technical request information that may be processed by Cloudflare when communicating with the service.

The browser identifier and Like preferences may be stored using local storage on your device.

When a visitor requests a Like count, the system may contact the Cloudflare service to retrieve the current count. When a visitor submits or removes a Like, the associated identifier and choice may be sent to the service.

This helps maintain shared Like counts and reduce repeated voting associated with the same browser identifier.

Public Like counts do not display individual visitor identifiers.

The browser identifier is not intended to contain your name or email address. However, persistent identifiers and related technical information may still qualify as personal information under applicable privacy laws.

Cloudflare processes information subject to its own applicable privacy practices.

8. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on external service providers to operate parts of Omnia Catholic.

These include:

MA WebCenters and its underlying website platform: Website hosting, publishing, forms, content management, technical operations, and website-related data processing.

Google: Google Analytics, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and related administrative services.

Telegram: Private event-submission notifications and administrative approval communications.

Cloudflare: Processing requests associated with our shared event Likes system.

Other service providers may be involved when visitors use optional external features or third-party services linked from our Website.

We disclose relevant information to these providers as necessary to operate the associated features. Each provider may process technical or personal information according to its applicable terms, agreements, and privacy policies.

9. External Websites and Social Media

Our Website contains links to external websites and social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and other websites used by Catholic ministries, event organizers, and community organizations.

When you follow an external link, the destination website may collect information independently.

Omnia Catholic does not control the privacy practices, content, security, or data processing of third-party websites.

Omnia Catholic does not sell mailing lists or event submitter contact details for money.

11. How Long We Keep Information

Retention periods depend on the type of information and the reason it was collected.

Event Submissions

Public event listings are generally intended to expire or be removed after approximately 90 days, and they may be removed earlier.

Removing an event from public display does not automatically delete its original submission or administrative record.

Original event submission records, approval information, and related administrative data may remain stored in our Google Sheets or other administrative systems after an event expires or is removed.

At present, these underlying records do not have a universal automatic deletion period. We retain them for administrative continuity, recordkeeping, event management, and other legitimate operational needs until they are reviewed or deleted.

Contact and Ministry Information

Messages and organizational inquiries may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, manage relationships, or satisfy applicable requirements. A single fixed retention period is not currently established for all such communications.

Google Analytics

Our Google Analytics configuration currently uses:

Two months for event-level data retention.
Fourteen months for user-level data retention.
Resetting of the applicable user-data retention period when new user activity occurs.

These settings do not necessarily determine the retention period of all aggregated Analytics reports or information that Google processes under its own policies.

Likes and Browser Storage

Visitor identifiers and Like preferences may remain in browser storage until cleared, replaced, or otherwise removed. Associated server-side information may remain in the Likes system according to its operational storage and deletion practices.

Third-Party Services

Information held by our service providers may be subject to their applicable retention practices, technical backup procedures, or legal obligations.

Visitors may request deletion of information held by Omnia Catholic, subject to identity verification, technical limitations, and applicable exceptions.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

We respect your ability to make informed decisions about your information.

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have the right to:

Ask us to correct inaccurate information.

At present, the Website is not configured to automatically respond to the older browser "Do Not Track" signal. Other legally recognized opt-out rights and requests will be addressed as applicable.

Our Website uses HTTPS to help secure communications between visitors and the Website.

Administrative tools and records are intended for authorized access, and we use private administrative systems for reviewing event submissions.

However, no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Please avoid sending passwords, financial account information, government identification numbers, medical information, or other highly sensitive personal information through public event submissions or ordinary contact forms.

Omnia Catholic operates primarily in Southern California, United States.

Because we use providers such as Google, Telegram, Cloudflare, and our website platform, information may be transferred to, processed in, or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where those services operate.

Omnia Catholic's event-discovery services are primarily intended for Catholic young adults aged 18 and older.
